They come on stage as if they would be preparing to jam. Each selects his instrument as if he was only trying it out. Those who have never seen them before, may not even now that this is, indeed, the BAND. They are dressed like us, casually. There is nothing to indicate that they have done this thousands of times before, that all of them have been professional musicians most of their lives.
We wait for the show to begin. And it does, without warning, right on schedule. As they begin to perform the first number, the lignts dim. Now everyone knows -- the guys on stage are BEATLE JUICE! For the next three hours, they take us back to the sixties as we sing, dance, and clap to the music of the Beatles. At some point during the begining of the concert, Brad tells us the obvious, "We don't look like them." But, who cares? From time-to-time, we close our eyes, and our ears make us believe that we are listening to THEM.
We are also treated to some work by the next generation: the sons of Muzz and Joe perform. It seems like the concert had just begun; but all too soon, it is over. Our appetite is insatiable. We are on our feet hollering for more. And they give it to us -- there is one encore; we still want more. But the lights go out. The concert is over.
Now, we get a chance to meet the members of the band. They don't run away when the stage ligths dim and the houselights are on. They sign autographs, pose for pictures, talk with the fans both young and old. As we leave the auditorium, we reassure ourselves with the knowledge that they will be back next year. And, they do come back, year-after-year.
