The Keeper of The Garden
a poem by le jack row
Last night in slumber I visited a mystic garden,
of flowers so bright.
As I set upon the garden bench I heard a voice, that filled
me with delight.
It was the voice of the garden keeper, a spiritual quite man.
Who took pride with his roses, as he worked the soil with his
hands. As he slowly stood up, as to come my way.
I heard him softly humming, Here Comes The Sun today.
He was a thin man, his face full of wisdom and life
You could tell he had his share, of sorrow and of strife.
He gently sat beside me, as if to set a spell
As he began to talk to me, the stories he did tell
He spoke about his dear old friend, of All Those Years Ago
And all the memories of Yesterday, because he loved them so

It is such a sad day,Nov. 30 that George
has passed on. Especially sad for his wife and his son. George
has given so much music and happiness to this world. I hope that
his journey to the everlasting is peaceful and that he gets to
see John again. Age 58 is so young but it is not for us to decide.
We will greatly miss him. Only 2 Beatles left...I hope that Paul
and Ringo will get together to do a musical tribute to both of
their passed colleagues. "All You Need Is Love".......rest in
peace.
I'm sure you'll hear throughout the day,
but just in case you check e-mail first, you should know that
George passed away last night. I woke up to get ready for work
and turned on the news. I'm impressed that they could pull away
from the current world events long enough to comment about George.
I wonder if they'll start using All Things Must Pass as thier
big headline. Anyway, take care today.
I am very sorry! I am searching for a good picture of George...
I am really shocked about his death... A Fan

Hi Eva,
Just wanted to talk to a fellow fan, who understands what it is
like losing George. Obviously our thoughts & prayers are with
Olivia & Dhani & others who love him. I am particularly thinking
of Ringo, who always seemed the closest to him, out of the Beatles.
I know that George is at peace now, but he will be sadly missed
by all of us who grew up with him. He was like John a great man,
a peaceful man & will always be remembered with love & affection.
I've been a Beatles fan since about 8 years old & I am now 47;
I have nearly all of his albums & of course The Beatles. He was
a superb musician & lets not forget the contribution he made to
British films with "Handmade Films" & his humanitarian work. God
Bless & keep you, George. Hope you don't mind me writing. love
from Twickenham. United Kingdom.
Hello. Is there anyway of sending George's family a message? I
can't find his web site,I hope he is alot happyer and out of pain.My
Daddy had cancer and,he didn't have it as bad as George, but he
was still in pain.I just want to let the family know I care and
am so sorry. We lost a sweet soul.
I just found your web site, as this day came and, the music died
as another generation knew it. Very nice job, the memories will
always be sweet!
Bye Bye George

Hi,
Nice tribute to George Harrison. The Beatles have always been
my favorite band. Even when individual members went solo, they
still continued to be high on my list, especially George Harrison.
He had extraordinary talent and as pop music comes and goes, I
can always remember George's music. Two of his songs which were
my favourite were My Sweet Lord and My guitar Gently Weeps. There
will never be another musician like him. He truly left his mark.
I have no idea who I'm writing to, But, I'm just so sad and I
would like to send a card to the Family and I have no idea who
to send it to. He was a GREAT man... I'm just a fan who will always
mourn his passing , so young, robbed as far as I'm concerned,
But, then again , Who am I to say that. Thanks.
So sorry about george..I photographed him along with the other
beatles in the 60s. at least he will sleep in peace.. kindest
regards and thoughts
I needed a place to see George and I found yours its nice. Thank
you.
Just a little thing to remember George:
There goes the sun,
There goes the sun, and I say, its not right.
Little Darling, it's going to be a long cold lonley winter,
Little Darling, it's seems minutes since he's been here.
There goes the sun, there goes the sun, and I say, its not right.
Little Darling, the frowns are appearing on the faces,
Little Darling, it seems like minutes since he's been here.
There goes the sun, there goes the sun, and I say, its not right.
Goodbye Sun, there it goes,
Goodbye Sun, there it goes,
Goodbye Sun, there it goes,
Goodbye Sun, there it goes,
Goodbye Sun, there it goes,
Goodbye Sun, there it goes,
Little Darling, I feel like my heart is slowly breaking,
Little Darling, it semms like minutes since hes been here
There goes the sun, there goes the sun, and I say, its not right.
There goes the sun, there goes the sun, and I say, its not right,
Its not right.
Thank you.
So Sorry to hear the news today. His music and Spirit live on.
hi.
i have been in a slump all day. i am only 24 years old but i am
a huge fan of the beatles. i have been for a long time. my dad
made me a tape when i was young and simply said 'listen to it'
that is what he did when he wanted me to experience musicians
he enjoyed, i still have the tape. i have gone to several websites
today dedicated to george but no one who maintains these sites
have bothered to update it, today of all days. i emailed the lyrics
to 'here comes the sun' to everyone i know today as my own tribute.
it is such a beautiful song. i have found some peace now. thank
you for your site.
I am very sad that we have lost another one of our most talented
musicians. He will be saddly missed. Goodbye George.
Hi there, I visited your site this morning. I'm sure you are
heartbroken, as am I. I was a young teenager when Haight-Ashbury
and the word "FAB" came about. I remember the night on Ed Sullivan
as a very special time in history. My Dad was freaking out over
the long hair. Myself, oh my God, the Beach Boys had just been
replaced. Well, I could go on and on. Mr. Harrison is where he
always knew he was headed, and it's not a secret to him any more.
I hope to meet him someday.
We fondly miss George Harrison
Link together, link now, over you,

Oh Please, say to me,
I didn't stay up all night.
Oh please, say to me, our love is worth the fight.
I know I work all day, because you make it ri-i-ight.
Ooh I need your love babe you know I know it's true, ain't got
nothing to hide babe, eight days a week.
My Sweet George Halleluuiah,
My Sweet George,
We Ha-ard-ly knew Ya.
Imagine all the people
Living because we're free,
You might say I'm a dreamer,
But that's before we linked to you
You say you want a revolution, and so we changed the wo-o-o-orld,
You say you want a revolution, what do we do with all the fo-o-o-ols?
Since he's been gone I want noone to talk to me
Please go away, leave me alone, don't bother me.
Don't bother me right now,
Just link to me.
Just link to me.
Hi I am a rare record dealer I have decided to place all the
George Harrison items that I have on Ebay I feel that I should
give a portion of the sales to charity My question then is which
charity? The obvious answer would be to a charity supported by
George Could you help me there? Many thanks
Although the soul of the beatles has died his music will on...
and i will sit down in the streets of Hamburg, Germany now and
play his songs. Good Bye
Would you agree with me that Stu Sutcliff was actually the 1st
Beatle to die followed by John then George. I'm on a crusade.
I love to tell people that Stu Sutcliff is my favorite Beatle.
I'm trying hard to not let people forget the people that died
in Pennsylvania on 11 September, 2001.
I am very sad...................... GEORGE: HE IS THE BEST!!!

I think, John and George play now together their wonderful songs
in haeven for us
A Fan of Beatles from Germany
I like your George Harrison page.
I am 43 years old and as I have
aged I have come to realize and accept numerous things. One of
them is that I am glad I have lived in the era of the Beatles,
Stones, Peter Gabriel, Elton John, etc.
One of the most beautiful, downright
stunning songs I have EVER heard is from George Harrison. It is
"Beware of Darkness". At least once a year I pull out the "All
Things Must Pass" CD out and play that song. I feel so meditative
and emotional when hear it! Then, of course, I have to play it
several more times, usually in consecutive sequence. Then I move
on to other masterpieces like....Run of the Mill, Apple Scruffs,
and the Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp. And these songs aren't the
blockbusters that everyone talks about!
My memories of George are long,
varied and colorful as my first exposure to the Beatles came when
I was about 8 years old!
God Bless you, George! May you rest
in peace!
I hope that as we think of George,
we remember these words... "Beware of sadness
It can hit you It can hurt you
Make you sore and what is more
That is not what you are here for"
Thanks George for make my youth times happyest I will found you
on heaven .
Hey there
I don't really know what to say....but I know that I needed to
write something somewhere to express my sorrow for George's passing.
He has meant so much to me and to legions of fans. This is truly
a sorrowful occasion. My regards to his family and to Paul and
Ringo. May he rest in peace with John......you two will enlighten
and entertain for eternity.... All the best George....the world
is a better place having known you!!!
It's the end of something. Something in the way he moved us.
Hari Krishna. I hope for something to come along for the world
that will give to you what the Beatles gave to us. It was priceless
and not measurable in any way. Love, Peace and all that stuff
that people laugh at now. All except George...........my heart
is broken with yours.
Excellent site for George! I'm sure it helps others as it did
myself, as we grieve his passing.
Hi,
We were looking for somewhere to pay our respects to George and
your site really impressed us at this sad time.
We never knew George Harrison, but we knew his music,
We never spoke to George, but he spoke to us in song.
The world has lost another wonderful soul, but he gave the world
so much of himself.
We'd like to give our condolences to his family, his friends,
and all his fans around the world. George Harrison was truly a
great man. The world won't be the same without you George.
May you be in peace.

Thanks for a great site to GEORGE. He will be greatly missed
by me and my wife. We both have been fans of the Beatles since
their beginning in Liverpool. My guitar gently weeps for his family
and friends. Every time we see a sunrise we will remember Here
Comes The Sun. May you rest in peace George. Thanks for the memories.
Two fans in Virginia.
the world has lost a great teacher
Hello, I just wanted to say that I thought perhaps George now
makes music with John again, where ever they are now. I can hardly
believe it, so whenever it comes to my mind again I start crying.
I hoped that it all wasn't true until the end. It's good to know
that so many people think of him.
You knew him well also. I'm 47 and was ten when the Beatles
came over. I loved all four of them and George will be missed
by me! I loved his wit, not many new he was funny but I did. He
was a gentle man, always willing to help. Well, now he's making
beautiful music with John. God bless you George, God bless you
both.
When I heard the news last friday, I ran to my mother and told
her the sad news. Oh, my sweet Lord, she said. She is 49, so she
grew up with the Beatles. She gave me (20) the love for music
generally and the Beatles especially. So we are both shocked.
I know George has always been a good man, and he will have a good
afterlife. Requiescas in pace, George. (Holland)
A very magical soul - there will never be another one like him.
One of a kind - he will be sadly missed - his music will live
on forever. Strawberry feilds forever is a very soulful song as
is many of his songs - that's how I like to remember him by his
wonderful music, being happy, and joking to the end of his days.
Smile for him - he would want us to do that
I grieve with you as do all of us. He was a dear man and a brilliant
musician. He was the solid musical foundation for the Beatles
. His soaring guitar riffs lifted me into the clouds. His wonderful
music will live and I will miss him knowing that I shared this
world with a man as wonderful as he. God bless you. Rest In Peace
and say hello to Srila Prabhupada.
Thank you for your words and website about George Harrison. Part
of my sadness about his death is anger from feeling that he not
so much died but was in a way, killed. Cigarettes killed George
Harrison. It is an awful truth, yet ignored in reporting, conversation
and consciousness. Why? Your railing against cancer while not
even mentioning the disease's cause seemed odd. I guess I am just
frustrated by the seemingly general silence as the the true cause
of George's sad and far too premature demise. I am afraid we will
miss a huge opportunity perhaps literally to save the lives of
very many current and future cigarette smokers. Again, thanks
for your tribute to George.
My mother raised me on the Baatles because they were once a favorite
of hers. I am now 14 and I will be 15 on February 25, the same
day George Harrison would be 59. I spent November 29 in tears
because I felt like I had lost a best friend. My dream is to one
day meet one of the Beatles. My chances are slimming as the years
go by. I have the Red, White and Blue albums and the Beatles 1,
but it irritates me that I can't find some of the Beatle songs
on the Internet to download for a presentation I am dedicating
to George Harrison, John Lennon, and the remaining Beatles members,
Paul and Ringo. Can you help me? God Bless You, for keeping their
memory strong for generations to come like me. A teary eyed Beatle
fan
George was my favourite "Fab" from 1979, when I was 13-year old
boy and I heard The Beatles for the first time. I loved him like
a musician and a man. Hare George, hare forever. Czech Republic
The past few days have been extremely difficult for Beatles
fans everywhere. While not exactly unexpected, the death of George
Harrison is a very permanent reality that many of us find hard
to accept. Like George said, All Things Must Pass, but that doesn't
necessarily make it any easier. Many fans are leaving their thoughts
and memories on our discussion forum. Please follow the link below
to add your own words: http://www.beatlelinks.net/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi
Dear all:
Sorry because my english is not good. I love George, and at first
I was very very sad when I read the terrible news in my e- mail.
The last year I lost a good friend in similar circunstances. She
only was twenty five years old. Now I think they are in the best
place af all, that they were (and are) very special people. They´ll
always be in our hearts and memory. All the people go never go,
really: "All WE have to do is think of them". So now I´not so
sad. When I look to the sky, when I listen George´s music I feel
a little better.. I only pray them for all of us in these caotic
times, and the notes of "Give me love" sound in my soul. (Spain)
I'm from Argentina. I feel as you about George's death, it's
so hard to express and I find my feelings in your words. Thank
you very much for your page. I really like to visit it. Regards
When loved ones die, I think we are reminded of our own mortality
and impermanence in this world. When George passed away, I was
sad but at the same time I felt his passing was a reminder of
our immortality. I am so impressed with this man who dedicated
himself to his Lord and thereby enlightening and encouraging others.
I feel, without a doubt, that wherever he is, he is filled with
more love and happiness than he ever could have found on this
Earth planet. So in one sense, I'm not grieving so much. I'm just
simply amazed that one gentle soul was able to influence so many
people in a positive way. I love you, George, and I hope to see
you and our sweet Lord face to face in the future (I've got some
kids to raise, so let's make that the far future). I also have
faith that you are able to feel and hear every prayer and our
words of appreciation. Thanks for all your help, and please tell
me, is Krsna as beautiful as they say He is? Hari Bol!
I personly am sorry for my mis spellings
He left the way he stayed, a quit man who made an impact on this
world like a moutain that is always known for being in the background
and is not trully apresheated or notice untill it is gone. I found
out the the living legend [George Harrison] was no longer alive
stragly the way I discover all sad news. I was informed at 2:00
am on a school night that following night I pick up my fathers
gutar and played his only number one hit with the Beatles song
"Something" probly 15 times over and over and though I had played
the many time before, it felt that I was going to cry but then
I relised that his song were insperational in his life and should
stay in his death. I am 16 years onl and one of the Beatles songs
I fell inloved with was Something. When I grow older and I have
kids of my own I will show them the greatness that was KNOW AS
GEORGE HARRISON.
Thank you for allowing me this oppertunity to express myself
Hello, I am truly touched by your website. I wasn't even born
when "All Things Must Pass" was released or when the Beatles went
on their separate ways but through the past few years I've come
to love George's music and am an avid fan and guitar player of
his and the Beatles music. I was wondering if you could clarify
this for me, a few days after his passing the "NY Post" stated
that there may be about 25-30 songs that George had recorded a
few months before and leading up to his death and was to planning
to release a new CD. I was wondering if you've heard anything
along those lines? I think that your statement about how your
guitar gently weeps epitomizes all of our emotions and if I may
just add this to it, "George was a true spirit, often in the shadows
of the 2 greatest songwriters of all time but with the passage
of time he learned from them and produced some of the most beautiful
songs and music of all time whilst carving out his own niche and
earning the respect of John and Paul, he was truly "Something"
and let's thank our blessings for being able to be a part of that
and being here in time and this lifetime to experience his music."
Thanks again and "Hare Krishna."
At this time it is difficult to be optimistic, especially after
all the terrible events occurred in our world. I did receive that
message from Rosa A. two days after the attack to the Twin Towers.
I was then too shocked to be able to reply. Here in Buenos Aires
(Argentina), we had two terrorist attacks, one in March 1992 and
the second one on July 1994, so we know damn well what it feels
like. Then, George's death added another bitter ingredient. "Isn't
it a pity" he had to suffer that much? Yet, my only consolation
is that he is free now. His existence has been that of an "Angel
on Earth". If you ever had a chance to contact Olivia and Dhani
Harrison, I would like to extend the admiration I feel for George
to them, since they have been blessed with the privilege of being
the wife and son of a talented, wise and generous man. I believe
they have the tremendous responsibility of continuing the wonderful
mission started by George. We are here in Argentina having an
awful socio-economic crisis, yet, in the middle of so much misery,
I feel a great deal of relief when I think of George and listen
to his music. I wish you all a good beginning for 2002.
I'll miss George. I think we all will. But, all things must
pass. George died with great dignity, peace, and humor, from what
I can gather, and I think we should be glad that he finally got
where he wanted to be for so long. Bye George. Tell John we said
hi.
Today it is with great sadness that we learned of George's
passing away after a long battle with illness. We offer our deepest
sympathy to his family and loved ones as well as his many fans
around the world.
Elliot Huntley has followed George's progress as a dedicated
fan for most of his life and he said he feels the loss as much
as any close friend. A sad day for us all.
You will be sadly missed George, you will live on in our hearts
forever. Rest in Peace. J. Flynn - webmaster@midi-ebooks.com

1969 to the present day and celebrates George Harrison's career
as both a musician and independent film producer. Behind That

Harrison has released since 1970, his sporadic tours and live
appearances, his work with The Traveling Wilburys and the fascinating
catalogue of unreleased songs lying in his vaults. The book also
delves in detail into the personal life of the least written about
Beatle, covering such fascinating episodes as the high profile
break-up of his marriage to Pattie Boyd and the My Sweet Lord
plagiarism case, the reformation of The Beatles and his battles
with cancer, plus the traumatic events of 1999 that saw him nearly
killed by a mad intruder into his Oxfordshire home. Behind

"So Soon" by David Kendall
So soon the parting time has come.
This day concludes my song.
The sun cools red, yet still I dread
I might have been quite wrong.
My quiet was the storm within,
Its tempest in my ears.
Sullen mystery went before me,
The badge of all my fears.
I kneel before my mates and play,
And curtsy for the crowd.
Our song is done, yet I am not
Till I have sung so proud.
What piece, my lord, shall I perform
To swell your lofty day?
Perhaps my part is to be still,
A paltry price to pay.
Oh, let regrets be cast aside
As pennies on the grid.
The vine was full and sweet with fruit,
And summoned highest bid.
>From paper scraps, and dissonance,
And playthings in our minds
We seasoned hearts, and warmed the skies,
And eased the brutal grind.
As autumn leaves now cover me
In spring that kisses fall,
The last I breathe will be of thanks
To Ringo, John, and Paul.
FROM ME TO YOU
a poem by Dell Shaffer
ASK ME WHY I write this, COME TOGETHER and I WILL tell you.
They said you passed away YESTERDAY and I'M DOWN.
The world is saddeded BECAUSE the RAIN has fallen ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and we are all in MISERY.
George you have said ALL THINGS MUST PASS.
You are an Icon, and you will always be IN MY LIFE.
LET IT BE known that THERE'S A PLACE for you and ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE for MY SWEET LORD.
I'm on CLOUD 9 when I hear your music on the radio.
But today......I get teary eyed when I hear the songs.
I could turn them off to stop the tears, but I'LL CRY INSTEAD.
It will take THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD to GET BACK, but WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS......I WILL.
A friend may say to me...HERE COMES THE SUN, I may say GOOD DAY SUNSHINE, then I'LL FOLLOW THE SUN.
TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS.
SOMETHING is telling me to say HELLO GOODBYE.
But George it's not THE END. You will be in my heart forever and
I'VE GOT A FEELING you will be missed EIGHT DAYS A WEEK.
ALL MY LOVING
a fan

Dear George,
Thank you for your music. The album "Concert for Bangladesh"
is still my favorite for all time. So much of the music was about
God and his love. You longed to see HIM then, and now you know
HIM!
God Bless you and your family.

August 21, 2003
My guitar is weeping gently in the corner of my office as it
waits for me to play it. George's long battle with cancer is over;
and, finally, he is free from pain. At fifty-eight, he was only
three years older than I am.
During this month (November, 2001), I received many requests
(from all over the world) for information about George's health.
I scoured the newspapers and the Web for some clues to what was
going on. But George was a private person and did not like to
be in the limelight. I could find nothing that people did not
already know.
People wrote about strange new cures.
People mentioned teas and herbs that could possibly help.
People told me about the curing powers of prayer.
In the end, though, it was time for him to go. And while we all
recognize that his suffering is over, ours has just begun. Once
more we have been reminded of our mortality -- that none of us
will live forever. George's passing brings to focus once more
the urgency to find a cure for this terrible killer that does
not discriminate between race, religion, sexual orientation, personal
success and financial status. It does not care whether a person
is famous or not. It tortures and kills without feeling and takes
away from us those we love the most.
